Yorkshire Common Application Form (YCAF) initiative launches

Following a series of Yorkshire Common Application Form (YCAF) Task Force meetings and consultations over the last 12 months, the YCAF initiative – spearheaded by Yorkshire Funders – now has nine local funders committed to adopting the form and the first couple of charitable trusts will start to use the YCAF in the next few weeks.

The YCAF Task Force, led by Richard Sorton of Joseph Rowntree Foundation/Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, is a team of local trusts and foundations who want to try and make the application process for grant seekers easier and faster in order to help local charities and voluntary organisations during these challenging times when demand for their services is higher than ever.

The Task Force ran a Yorkshire Funders YCAF Online Workshop at the end of last month to ensure that as many funders and funding advisors were aware of the initiative and to share how the final form had been devised. To view the recording of this session, the final form online link and read the YCAF Initiative document and the YCAF Template Guidance notes, visit https://www.yorkshirefunders.org.uk/resources/. If you are interested in finding out more or want to join the initiative, please email Carla Marshall yorkshirefunders@gmail.com. The Yorkshire funders committed to adopting the YCAF so far are: East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, Leeds Community Foundation, Sir George Martin Trust, Sirius Minerals Foundation, South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, Tarn Moor Estate and Wakefield & District Health & Community Support (WDHCS).
