ACF Salary & Benefits Report 2023

Last month, ACF (Association of Charitable Foundations) released its 2023 Salary & Benefits Benchmarking Survey Report which is based on 147 ACF members’ responses and is now in its fourth year. Although the report shows that salaries have not increased consistently across the board, just over two-thirds of respondents to the survey were able to make inflation-related pay awards, and the sector as a whole continues to offer a competitive pay and benefits package, which includes generous employer pension contributions compared to the broader charity sector. The data brings out just how broad and diverse the independent funding sector is. As with many aspects of foundation practice, there is not a single size that fits all, and this report addresses that by breaking down the data in different ways, including location, type, and size of foundation.
