Do you want to help local funders be more effective and boost their impact on Yorkshire people and places?
We’re looking for new trustees who care about Yorkshire communities and understand that having a strong regional funder network with good insights and good connections is a great thing for the people and organisations in the area and beyond.
Our trustees work closely with our experienced team of associates, making decisions about strategy, priorities and resourcing as well as lending expertise and advice from their lived or professional experience.
Over the next five years we have ambitious plans to develop Yorkshire Funders CIO and we want to work with partners and our communities to continue to grow our capacity and understanding, and collaborate in order to contribute.
Being a trustee at Yorkshire Funders is ideal for someone who is a trustee at a Yorkshire-based charitable trust or foundation, or a paid member of staff who wants to strategically influence and enable other funders and people to deliver funding and support where it’s needed.
As a trustee you would attend four board meetings a year which are a combination of in-person and online meetings. We also need our trustees to regularly attend Yorkshire Funders’ events and recommend other funders to become members of Yorkshire Funders.
We are looking for trustees who are ‘hands-on’ and do have the time to support our associates when needed. Specific skills we are ideally seeking in some of our new trustees are:
But, just as important, we are also keen to hear from people with lived and/or vocational experience who share our passion for what we do and we are keen to recruit a diverse range of people and draw our trustees from a wide cross section of our community.
If you have never been a trustee before, please don’t be put off. We offer a good programme of support and induction and friendly associates and fellow trustees to support you as you develop your understanding of the role.
How to apply
Please email a basic CV and covering letter to info@sirgeorgemartintrust.org.uk and tell us why you would like to be considered as a Yorkshire Funders’ trustee by Monday 28th November 2022.
If you are shortlisted, we will be in touch asap after the deadline date to organise a date and time to have a chat with the current trustees and Co-ordinator.
Thank you very much for your interest in Yorkshire Funders.
